About The Town Studio

Along Provincial Highway No. 9 lies a stretch of fertile land that welcomes the first light of dawn each day.
This is Yuli — a small town rich in culture, stories, and the beauty of nature.
Here, food is more than a meal; it’s a story, a feeling, and a reflection of our deep connection with the land.
Centered on Japanese-style desserts,

The Town Studio blends Yuli’s local ingredients and landscape into creations that are truly one of a kind.

Brand Story

Located on Zhongxiao Road in Yuli Township,

The Town Studio takes its name from “the first field touched by the morning sun along Highway No. 9.”
The brand is dedicated to reviving Yuli’s traditional Yōkan

and crafting a range of Wagashi, including Namagashi, Mizuyōkan, and seasonal Japanese sweets.
Guided by the philosophy “desserts as a medium,”

The Town Studio carries forward Yuli’s local stories, traditions, and natural spirit.

Founder A-Chung, who grew up in Yuli’s Nagara area, believes that a local perspective is a rare and powerful gift

—something city life cannot replicate.
Partnering with pastry chef Amber, who left her career in a five-star hotel to embrace Yuli’s landscape and people,
the two combined design and craftsmanship to build a brand deeply rooted in place.

Each Wagashi captures a fragment of Yuli’s scenery and narrative,
becoming a sweet keepsake for travelers to take home —
a delicious way to “taste the story of the valley.”
